To Belong: A Mini-Retreat to Explore Belonging

In this half-day retreat, we’ll explore what it means to belong, to feel a sense of belonging and how to connect when we feel like we don’t belong.

We’ll work with two of our greatest teachers, the ocean, to learn how to connect to the inseparable vastness of which we are a part as well as to our own hearts, to learn how connect to the most innate and intimate nature of our own being. In service to these wise, most ancient of teachers, facilitating the retreat are: Myda El-Maghrabi from the Shared Edge and Boskho Boshkovic from Let’s Heal NYC. Together, they have created a multi-sensory retreat to explore the concept of belonging- to ourselves, to each other, and to the earth.

Our projected itinerary is as follows:

  • 1-2pm Meet and Greet at the studio of the Shared Edge (Tea and Snacks will be provided)

  • 2-3pm Beach Visit for investigation of belonging through guided prompts, altar gathering, movement & meditation

  • 3-5 Return to Studio for vocal toning lesson, discussion & reiki sound bath

The session will be held both inside and outside: inside at the Shared Edge studio located at 8808 Rockaway Beach Boulevard in Far Rockaway and outside on the beaches known as the Rockaways, 2 blocks from the studio. Please dress accordingly.

Please reach out to myda@thesharededge.com or letshealnyc@gmail.com for any questions.
