Sound as a Modality Part 2: Incorporate Sound Healing into your Personal & Professional Practices

In this class, participants will learn, discuss and practice how to incorporate sound work into their personal and professional practices of healing, transformation and growth.

The workshop will be separated into 2 days. This day, Part 1, can be a stand-alone class that can be attended via zoom or in-person. However, participation in Part 2 requires that you attend Part 1 (online, in-person or via recording).

In Part 1, we will embody the Seat of the Receiver, the Listener or Potential Client.

You will learn:

  • why we can use sound as a modality

  • how we hear vs. how we listen

  • the ways we can experience various sounds in our minds, emotions and bodies through deep listening

  • discuss the process known as entrainment

  • listen more critically from the perspective of the practitioner

  • brainstorm listening to different sounds and the qualities that are brought out and how that might be incorporated into a sound bath

  • learn how to build a soundscape for yourself and/or others

This class is a prerequisite for Part 2 in which we will actively work with and play various sound instruments. Part 1 is only involved with deeper listening, discussion and exploration.
